I use the ones that snap into the window channel and I like them, I would never go back to the two sided tape stick on even thought I had that style before without problems. Bad thing is if you damage one stuck on it is a pain to replace.

I have the in-channel ones also. Love em. Had the tape on ones on our company trucks. As said by bpenrod, They are a pain to cleanup the tape and replace.

I have the in-channel window ventvisors also. I have had them on the last two trucks. I had the stick on kind before. The in-channel work and look much better in my opinion.

The stick-on type also make it impossible to swap a broken mirror.

I barely bumped mirrors with a truck going the other direction. It popped the glass out and I thought I would put on my non-tow mirrors until I got it fixed. Stick on visors ovelap the mirror so you can't slide the mirror studs out of the door.

I was able to get a heated glass and I fixed the internal stuff.

I have the stick-on type myself. My reason for them was I painted them to match the truck. IMO they do blend in with the contour of the truck better than the window channel style, when painted JMO. I agree they are a pain if needed to be replaced, but there are ways to ease the pain some. You could use the fishing line trick to remove, and there are adhesive removers that work pretty good getting the junk off. Otherwise if I was not going to paint them I would have probably went with the window channel style.

Also it can be done on the replacing mirrors though, with the stick-on type visors. You have to be patient, and not get into a hurry like I did on the passenger side I did first, I did crack it (the window visor, that is) removing the standard mirror to replace with the new tow mirror. The drivers side went alot smoother though with no problems and damage. Still a slight pain to do. :-laf
