2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Window track bolt/mount repair

The sheet metal around a bolt in the back end of my drivers door has broken, (its near the latch) if I just weld that tab will it stop the window track from rattling around in the there? The bolt is very tight, I cant loosen it because whatever its attached to moves too. (hope this makes sense... . )

It sounds like the lower run channel guide- best to MIG it back into place (VERY thin sheet metal). Be sure to disconnect both batteries first!

I had the same problem on my 98. I had it fixed properly at the local body shop, and for some reason it did it again... . If you can stop the rattle, do that... Mine was covered under warranty, and it was broke again when i sold the truck.
