Last summer I had this problem where every time I would push the button for the windshield wiper fluid my fuse would blow... and I solved the problem by replacing the little pump on the reservior.

Now all of a sudden it's doing it again. I RARELY use my windshield wiper fluid, not enough for another pump to go out in just a year.

Is something going on that these pumps are failing?

CB, as far as I know, mine is the original pump. Is the spray a good spray with no plugging to cause back pressure on the pump? If the spray is bad, try cleaning the heads. You live in cold country, do you have any problem with freezing the wash fluid in the winter time? I'm sure you use winter fluid so it shouldn't be a problem. I was just wondering if the pump has froze up sometime causing damage.

Just some thoughts here.

I'm using the good de-icer yellow washer fluid. My sprayer nozzles seem to spray fine to me... how should I clean them?

Thanks Stan.

One thing that comes to mind is too much juice somehow getting to the motor, and blowing it. Bad ground can wreak havoc on stuff, too. Just a few thoughts. Ok, I have to stop this thinking thing- it just wont fly here in the swamp.
