Ok, Lost the wipers yesterday went to pull off the road under a closed gas station's roof and hit the barrier at the end of the island #@$%! took out the passenger side running board and both doors and the front of the bed. It really sucks to not be able to see... ... . Any one know where the wiper motor is so I can replace it???It worked again after I replaced the fuse but..... Or am I missing something on that circuit? I've had issues with the Multi Function switch not working but it would always work after exerciseing it a few times( like every other Dodge I've owned:rolleyes:) But this one has me a bit stumped..... I know the motor is in there someplace... .
Thanks

NAPA part #RAY 4921374. reman, about $60. IIRC, an OEM from the dealer is around $120.

Easy to replace. Sorry about the accident

As mentioned - under the cowl. You'll need to reuse the plastic body nuts, so be careful pulling them, they tend to crack. IIRC, the motor is plug and play, there is a 4 wire connector. Note the position of the splined crank assembly before you take it apart, my replacement needed some fine tuning - else the wipers didn't wipe/park correctly.

My '06 later developed a TIPM issue. Didn't work on certain delays and the multifunction switch was fine. Your '05 probably uses the FCM and is a better design. If it doesn't work after replacement (it'll probably work) measure the voltage at the motor. I think it has ground, park, low, and high speed windings.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help/ info. Replaced the wiper motor, plug everything back in nothing works. I found the connections in the fuse box, the ones for the wiper relay and wiper park relay burnt. Had a heck of a time cleaning them and getting them to connect again. tell me again how this is all better than the older trucks???

I'm starting to wonder if it pays to keep these things past the 5-6 year point. So far this year it's been Injectors, clutch, Ball joints again, and now this issue with the wiper motor. If i put all the "parts money" into a new truck it would have been a nice down payment. I say the part money as I've done all my own labor with help from all of us on this site. If I had to pay for that "free" labor I'd have bought two trucks by now..... Lol
