While traveling through Riverton Wyoming a few weeks back (still around freezing or just below at night) I was fueling up at a truck stop around 11:30 pm.
Fuel truck pulls up alog side and gets set up to deliver his load of diesel to the underground reservior.
As I set and watched, the man took about a 2. 5 or 3 gallon jug of Power Service and added it to the underground tank just before he added the fuel.
I'm thinking that he was using #2 fuel and adding the PS to make it a "winter blend" or #1 grade fuel.
I was shocked. I had always thought #1 was blended at the refinery, but apparently not. I can't imagine why else he would have been adding it.
Who knows what other companies/delivery people are adding... I guess they have to add something... ?
