To anyone using the Mopar winter front:

Have you had any problems closing the hood after the winter front is installed?

I notice that I have to try 2 to 3 times and close the hood ALOT harder than I would like. It didn't take much effort to shut the hood before installing the WF, but now it is a little tough. I can't see any indications that the WF is interfering with the hood; I don't see what the problem is.

I'm waiting for my wife to ask me what i was doing @ 5:30 AM slamming the hood of the truck 3-4 times. #@$%!

Anyone else experience this?

I have experianced the same thing with my 05. I can't remember what I did and haven't put mine on yet. Check mostly around the latch area is all I can say until I put mine on in about a month or until someone else chimes in.

Remember that the colder the air is that enters the engine the better it is... ... by adding the winter front, your going to warm up this air like it was summer and any benifit you'd gain will be lost.....

When we had engines that didn't have intercoolers (charged air coolers) we used them all the time..... but with these intercoolers we don't use them... . or suggest them to our customers... .

Remember also that we don't radiators that are 40-50% overside like a class 8 truck does.....
