Anyone using the winter grill cover from Geno's? Looks nice but I was hoping to get "review" from someone who has one. Any other good grill covers to look at? I like the Mopar / Geno's style that wraps and covers underneath the grill.

Last winter I used a piece of cardboard, and it worked fine, but I like the ability to leave the cover on year round rolled up and act as a bug screen for the radiatiors.

Sorry; I really can't answer your question on the Geno's cover but I am using a winter front on my 08 truck. I purchased a Mopar front cover in Dec 07, for my truck and use it every winter. This has a diamond shape opening with four flaps that can be closed off as needed. I will usually leave the four flaps open until the day time highs are in the signal digit numbers. I will than start to close off as needed but I have never run with all four openings closed off. I install the cover around Nov 1 and remove the cover in late March. This too installs under the grill opening and is almost invisible unless you know what to look for.

I also use the block heater on a timer and this will run for four hours a night; truck is nice and toasty in the AM when started.

Yes I use it for my Polar Circle Traveling every Winter, I recommend this product.
I close it completely at around 0°C, Fan didn't switch on this way.

I have the Geno's cover, highly recommend it. I just installed it last night as the arctic temps have come early here in Michigan (and around most of the country). I take it off in the spring, haven't used it as a bug shield, but as I stated, would recommend it for winter use. This will be the 4th winter for the cover, and to date, no rips, tears, or issues. Editing, because I noticed the comment about never running with all the flaps closed. I have never run with any of the flaps OPEN and have had no issues with cooling. Temp always around 200° on the gage. Only time I opened a flap was when I drove down to Cincinnati one spring, and had to use the AC, which was not blowing cold air. Forgot about the cover, opened up one of the flaps, AC got cold. Otherwise in the winter, everything is closed up.

I found that most of the stuff I get from Geno's is as advertised. They install the stuff themselves, and try it out, don't think they do, or would sell any junk.

One other thing I noticed. The Geno's cover, while patterned after the Mopar cover is slightly different. There are only two flaps on the Geno's piece that roll up and secure with velcro. Work very well, and stay in place when you do roll them up. There is one at the bottom of the cover, down below the bumper, and one closer to the top centered in the grill opening. The one I opened was the top one behind the grill.

Just wanted to let you know so when you receive it, you don't think it's the wrong one.

Typically I get stuff from Geno's in three days.

Best of luck, stay warm!!

So I have recieved the cover and installed it... Seems pretty nice.. however, is there no attachment for the cover at the bottom? I see no eyelets or anything to strap it down with???

I have the Geno's winter front, and it works great here in Iowa. We have temps below -20, and I get heat now, something I didn't before using cardboard!

Just put one on from Geno's and also wondered about much I should leave open. My old 1sr gen was on the outside and I left it half open until single digits. Is 200 OK to run for temp? Was easy to install thats for sure

As I mentioned above, I never open my flaps. Had the truck out yesterday with the cover, with temps here in southeast, MI around 57. Truck never got much above 200° which is exactly where it runs most of the time. 200 won't hurt anything. This is an aftermarket gauge too, not the factory one.
