ERIC..... please PM me the particulars about where to send the $$$$ and how much. gonna get a set on my next payday.

TIA Tim

I took the fan off for the last winter and that worked well, I never overheated and it did seem a little quieter although I didn't notice any quicker acceleration like some have reported. Has anyone tried winter guards without the fan or would that be overdoing it a bit?

I am runnings fanless sort of(electrics) with winter guard on. No problem what so ever until about 65 deg then the winter guards come off.

Thanks to all in advance that have bought or want to buy my winterguards, I make these myself and I am really glad to have made a difference in the operation in our trucks.

Check the classifieds, I have a plate for the cubby hole for guages

Etc.

Still not too cold here yet, but heard that North Carolina had a foot of snow! had to use bobcats since they don't have snowplows.

Yet there is snow in the mountains here and the parks are open!.

anybody else want to give reply to how they have done with the winterguards?

Mine have done very well, I have had them on for 2 yrs now and they do help in keeping the engine warm in the coldest weather. I drove in a small snowstorm one time and it was 0 deg. and there was a 1/4" of snow and ice built up on the grille and the engine was up to 190 or just below all the time.

Eric,

Your winter guards really help in warming up the engine faster and keeping it at operating temp. I am running all 4 guards now since the temps here have been in the 20's and 30's.

I was running 2 guards with the temps in the 50's and 40's

The winterguards are great! I have noticed the engine warms up a lot faster with the guards after the truck has been sitting outside at work for 10 to 11 hours. Thanks Eric!

No I don't make those lower panels. I was contemplating do it but you know about "getting around tuit" :p Don't know how to attach them. the grille was easy, just bolt through the honeycomb... any ideas on how like Lund attaches the lower panels?

Glad everyone like them, It is really a pleasure to make something that helps alot of people. I was tinking of developing a front mudflap out of the same material. what does everyone think? might work?

Happy new year!

Have had a great year so far! Thanks to all that have bought my winter fronts, hope you like them! Supply is good right now, check out the classifieds or E-mail me

EricBu12,

We do have DOT snow plows in North Carolina. At least here in the foothills of the blueridge mountains. At least a plow and a salt/slag spreader for every dump truck in the four counties near me. May have been using bobcats to move it in some town or something but most towns around here have blades for the front of city trucks. It was 16 degrees here Sunday morning.

EricBu12, just as a warning. I know that I saw previously that leaving your truck plugged in and then starting it will help burn out the block heater element. I dont know if the way you are using it is detrimental to its life or not. Mabye someone will chime in and give us an answer.
