Cummins to close USA plants????

Just waiting to get broken in and get great mileage!!!!

just wondering here in mass if we are still getting the winter mix fuel or is it only in the coldest months. Guy at fuel station has no idea what i am talking about. I would think it should be posted on the pump. As i understand #2 is cut with kerosene in the winter. And in summer its straight #2. Is this correct?

Our #1 should be looong gone. . . been nothing but 60s & 70s for the past 6 weeks and hasn't been below freezing more than a couple times since end of Feb.

Whenever I ask about fuel blends at the stations you're always dealing with a "Clerk without a Clue"

I have noticed my last two tanks my mileage has gone up a little, I assumed it was because it was not winter fuel. I am in MA also about 20 miles north of Boston, where in MA are you?

bertram I am down in bridgewater ma. And I have noticed the milage is up also. Got to love the 16 or so mpg on this tank of a truck. Beats the pants off my ex ford f350 gasser that got 8 or 9. I wish cummins would build the whole truck not just the motor.

I only buy fuel from places that have #1 on the oppposite handle from #2 so blending is my option.

However the winter grade (straight) #2 is really poor fuel and barely meets minimum cetane standards.

When the #1 pumps go away the #2 quality increases, too.
