Winterization

It's getting to be that time of year. I am thinking about adding an oil pan heater in addition to the factory block heater. What wattage and location (front/back/side/bottom) works well? And would it be a good idea to add a pad heater to the manual trans (G56) as well?



Other thoughts or suggestions?

I would add a heater on the batteries as well. My buddy has heaters on both batteries, transmission (bottom & auto), and on the bottom of the oil pan. He is from Fairbanks and it came that way from Gene's Crysler. I have been up there when it is cold, if you adding one the the engine pan I would add one to the transmission even if it is manuel. -20 and colder is hard on rigs no matter what.
