Wiped Out: NV4500 Input Shafts

I have a project for someone, my US gear overdrive only holds 1 qt of oil and you want to see high temps you should see this thing climb. I would pay for a cooler or bigger sump for that baby. I run Amsoil in that to but only let it go about 30k before I change it.

Have you noticed if the temps in the US Gear unit affect the temps in the transmission? I am having some weard things going on in there. Had the seal in the transfer case blow out. Could that heat you speak of cause a problem?
