With my bug shield on my wipers will float off my windshield even when they are parked. The spring on the arm has actually started to peel back the metal thingy that it attaches to.

Do any of you have anyidea where to get OEM style replacement arms? The only thing I can find is TRICO universals (one size fits all).

TIA

Tom

Thanks guys, I was kinda hoping that with all the Dodge trucks out there between '73 and '93, that someone would have made replacements. Oh well, never know what else you can find in the junk yard.

Trico makes exact fits still... . Or get some used ones from down south... they will still be good... redline on ebay is Arkansas . he should have plenty of good one he would sell ... Wiper arms 72 threw 93 will all fit . but you need to get them in pairs if you want them both to be the same . there were changes made along the way... No one year is much better than any other really.

It is all in what you prefer... . I like the early style myself

Mysteryman,

SWorry been on the road the last couple days. I tried the TRICO website looking for the part number and for all years '73 thru '93, the site says they have nothing. Do you have a part number?

LMC truck has new arms listed for old Ford and Chevys, anyone know for sure if one these will fit?

I'm not going to be able to hity the junkyards for awhile. Going back on the road for the next two weeks.

I too had the float issues after the addittion of the front hood guard. My fix was to replace the stock wiper blades with quality aftermarket ones. The stockers had a wing like piece built-into them, why I don't know. The replacements were Bosch Micro edge 20" wiper blades, complete with the wiper blade carriers. They not only fixed the float, but the wiping action is far superior from OEM.
