2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Wiper linkage installation mods

My wipers where starting to get really slow on a dry windshield and this is after replacing the motor with one from NAPA, yes just the motor.

I ended up buying the whole assembly from DC at newmoparparts.com and they shipped them by US Post, good delivery by air I was surprised.

I new that the bushings where on the way out on the old one so I decided to add grease zerks to the new unit before installation, looks good eh???

This was done on the bench with-out looking at the truck LOL!!!

Wiper linkage installation continued:

After opening up the hood I took the old ones out and whoa NO CLEARANCE ON THE ZERK.

A punch and a small hammer gave me enough clearance but I will have to remove the whole unit to grease it, I think this should be done once a year.

Wiper linkage installation continued:

This is the completed install, so far the new linkage at low is the same speed as the old ones on high. .

Just a pain to remove to grease the bushings, which look to be bronze .
