Archived Wiper Switch, Need to Replace...HELP

I have a 2004. 5 that the wiper have a mind of there own. I works sometimes when, it will wipe once and the next time it will wipe 3-4 times fast and than stop. I don't want to have the dealer charge me a arm and a leg to replace it. I want to do this my self how do I do it. I have tilt wheel
 
REMOVAL

WARNING: BEFORE SERVICING THE STEERING COLUMN THE AIRBAG SYSTEM MUST BE DISARMED. REFER TO THE ELECTRICAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PROCEDURES. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY



Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable.

Remove the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column. Refer to Steering Column - Removal.

Disconnect the wire connector from the back of the multi-function switch.

Rotate the steering wheel far enough to access and remove the two screws securing the multi-function switch to the switch mounting housing on the steering column (Multifunction Switch).

Pull the multi-function switch control stalk toward the left side of the vehicle to remove the switch.
