Factory trailer wiring Question

I just lost my running and tail lights on my fifth wheel, no matter which 7-pin plug I use on the truck (one in bed and one on bumper). Everything else (turn signals, reverse, trailer brakes, etc. ) seems to work on both the truck and trailer. I had noticed on the last trip the trailer running lights were intermittent, no matter which plug I used, which seemed to suggest a loose connection or ground somewhere. The 12volt fuses on the trailer look good. I need to check the splices at the rear bumper, but how do I find out what color of wire running down the frame is for the tailights?... I can't find anything in the owner's manual and I'm not sure the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual is specific for my truck (2003). Any help would be appreciated.

The parking (running) lamps for the trailer are on their own relay in the fuse box. Check that first - maybe it went bad.

Otherwise, the power wire for the parking lamps in the trailer connector is an 18 ga. black with an orange stripe all the way from the fuse box connector (C1) to the trailer plug.

There is one quick disconnect in the wire between the fuse block and trailer connector. It's located in a big cable bundle down on the frame rail under the driver seat.

Thanks Ryan, that helped me big time. I'm back in business. Just curious, how did you know this? I am also curious about which wire for the reverse lights.

I have the wiring schematics that come with the service manual. I'm glad you were able to get it figured out.
