24v to 12v swap?

85 CC chevy conversion, newbie

Getting hot enough that it is time to have some lines made up and get the a/c working. Can anyone provide instructions on how to wire the compressor on a 1994 12 valve 6bta in a 2000 Ford Excursion that used to be a 7. 3 PSD?Thanks-Matt

Wireing Air Compressor - Cummins- Ford ?

This should be very easy , infact i would be at all surpised if the ford plug didnt already fit the Cummins AC compressor , id check it to see if it will plug in first

If not just cut the dodge plug off and use butt connectors and connect or dodge plug to the ford wireing , you can test with jumper wires to confirm

clutch engagement becore crimping the wires , you only have 2 wires

on both applications , the shop unless your going to charge the system could do this as well .

If your doing this your self renember to put oil on the o rings and replace the screen ,and check or replace the exspansion valve ,

my dad was in auto ac/radaitor for 30 years before retirement , and we still do work on them

Thanks,
Found a mechanic, says he'll start on it in a couple days. He said it looked simple to build the lines and everything. He also found numerous errors on the part of the guy who installed my engine. Hoping this guy will get everything straightened out.

Well, i did, sort of, but its been redone a couple times. I had the engine in place back in August '06 but not yet running. Discovered the adapter kit was not going to work, cumminsstuff.com never gave me a refund. Had to leave for Colorado, left the truck in many incompetent hands in St. Louis since then. This is the 5th shop it has been in since.

My dad has been driving the truck, helping me figure out bugs over the phone. Doing this project has been a horrible mistake, should have been so simple, quick, and cheap but we've been screwed almost everywhere we go.

So no, it's not done and probably never will be, but that's largely because i never stop modifying. We've spent about $20,000 on this conversion so far with more to come. A very big mistake.

I haven't even gotten to drive it myself since the conversion. Hoping to pick it up next week. Needing these little things that i won't be able to do to my daily driver done before i bring the truck out west. Can't afford down time.
