Hi,
After reading the wiring schematic on my 2007 5. 9L I Thought that wiring the fuel presure (see the post re gauge lights below) gauge light would be a simple affair... . Not so. It seems that most all, if not all, of the power to light lamps comes from the electronic circuit in the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). It appears to me that the physical light switch receives a certain voltage from the TIPM and then, dependant upon the selected position of the light switch, sends a return signal to the Electronic circuit in the TIPM. The Electronic circuit then distributes the voltage to illuminate the lamps. So when trying to find the correct wire to power aux lighting make sure to pick it up from the wire that is physically connected to the appropriate light/s.
Please don't hesitate to correct the above assumption.
Thanks, Richard
