2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Wiring Diagram

I have 96 2500 with a little of 200K miles and I'm experiencing what I assuming on just signs of wear. My back up lights have quit, transmission temp light comes on when the truck is in reverse, E-brake lights flickers. Does anyone know where to get a GOOD wiring diagram.

The dealerships I've worked at would copy pages or print pages for customers. Stop and ask if they'll help you out.



Sounds like a ground issue, being funky things are happening when in reverse.

I have a '95 which is similar to your '96. I recently had a ground problem with weird electrical behavior for the lights and other stuff after the cab. All those grounds go through the same connectors. My problem was corrosion in a connector near the front left cab mounting pad. You might take the connector apart and see if there is any corrosion. If there is clean is good as you can and use dielectric grease to seal the connector when you put it back together. That fixed the strange electrical behavior. Worth a try since no money is involved.
