The fuel gauge was working, now it reads empty, no low fuel light.
I pulled the harness from the sender unit, and there is no 12 volts, the ground is good. I traced the wire out to the frame got 12 volts, now the harness goes behind the tank. Just thought i would ask before i made my own harness ( beats lowering the tank).
also in the frame is a unit that looks like it was made for dual tanks, has some wires going to it and some hose connections but no hoses are connected. but the previous owner has wires going to it
these trucks have dual tanks? I know from my ford if I switch to my none exsitant tank the fuel guage goes dead.
