I would think that the firewall would be the same no matter which trns. Mineis auto 2001 2500 and on the drivers side is a large rubber grommet that I ran my wire and coax thru.

Bob, I can't say myself, but there is a guy who posts as "drivers mopars" here who has I think a 93 dually that is very much into Ham and other types of radios. He may have a suggestion for you.

My 97 has the grommet for the main harness so I ran my antenna and power wires through there. But on some 2m frequencies, the ABS lamp will flash when I transmit. I am planning to drill a hole in the firewall for the antenna cable (RG58) one of these days.
My wife's 98 had such terrible 2m noise problems that I started with the grommet but drilled the hole in the end. It helped but the only way I could cure the noise problems in the 98 was to make a copper shield for the ABS controller under the hood. What I should do is take the 98 to the dealer and show them the noise problem, but I don't have the energy to fight DC.
Drill the hole, if you have a 98 or later.

I ran the coax under the passenger side door moulding, to the rear of the cab, and drilled a 3/16" hole, so it could exit under the cab. Then ran it along the frame and up into the bed thru the drain hole in the corner of the bed. Seal all of the entry/exit points with some RTV (on the outside to prevent any rusting). My Antennas are mounted on a camper shell which I never remove.

Anyone know the best way to get power wiring into the cab of a 2001 6spd? On my 98 Auto the gasket where the clutch is now was a great entry point. I can't seem to find any empty grommets on the new one. Don't want to drill but that might be my last resort.

Frank's coax routing is the best way. On the power lead to the battery, you should have a silicon rubber hole cover on the firewall to the left of the steering column. Just punch a hole with an ice pick, run the 14 gauge power lead out to the battery. The rubber will seal back around the wire nicely. Be sure to ground the rig as close to the radio as possible. I used the transfer case shifter hole in the cab floor for my ground. No noise or RFI problems at all.
