Any experts to advise on how to wire up a toad so the toad lights are used instead of magnetic stick ons? The towing vehicle has red turn signals and the toad has amber. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give.

I just wire into the front turn signals and running lights. My towed rear signals are amber too. I figure, So what if my towed brake lights are amber. Hasn't been a problem in 15000mi. The MH lights are visable around the towed anyway.

toad lights.....

be careful about just tying into the toad's lights. sometimes the backfeed does bad things to the toad--the least of which may be blown fuses in the toad's lighting system. diodes are available to put in the wiring to avoid the backfeed, and shoud be available from Camping world, too. IF the toad has a receiver hitch, you can make a light bar to slip in the hitch. i did that from some old parts in the shop. simple matter to slip it inot the hitch, and plug in to the harness i ran back from the motor home. whole thing cost me bout 30 bucks, with the scrap metal i used from the shop.

After spending considerable time on my back under the rig, (don't like that anymore) I have come to the decision to do what you stated. Too too much wiring, warning, doors open, tail lights out etc,etc to get into the vehicles wiring mess! I decided to do the KISS method.
