Hi all, I've got the pyro and boost gauges hooked up, but now need to light 'em up! Anyone know which wire is the one for the dimmer and the easiest way to get to it? I have a '98 12-valve.
If its like my 96 you can pull the switch out after popping the dash bezel and tee it off right there. you can find the wire with a volt meter stuck into the back of the connector with the lights on and turning the dimmer just watch for the voltage drop
i hooked mine to the stock dimmer circuit though a dimmer (i used one from a 240 volvo but any junk yard 2 pin unit should do) that i secured under the dash with in reach, that way i can trim the pillar down a little as i run the main dimmer at full which makes the aftermarket gauges too bright right in my face
