I'm fixing to install a Jake ebrake (vacuum actuated) in my 98 12v. I confessedly am a wiring ignoramus. Mechanical stuff is fine, e. g. changing valve springs, clutches, trannies, main seals and etc. (even rebuilt a few engines), but wiring... nope. Anyway I am wondering two questions. what ignition hot wire should I tap into on a 98 12v to power the switch?
Secondly, I'm assuming the ignition hot tapped wire (with in-line fuse) goes to the shift mounted lever (two speed axle style)->then to the fuel/no fuel switch I got from Pac Brake that mounts on the accelerator pedal bracket ->then to the selenoid. Sound like it will work?
Ahhhheeem, remember it isn't polite to laugh. Some can wire trucks and some can pack mules.
