does anyone have , or know what book i can buy to get a wiring diahgram for the infinity radio in a 99 model. i have purchased one to put in my ride but the truck does not have the same wires. which means i gotta build my own.

Hmmm. Thanks for pointing out my misconception. I thought the amp power was supplied by the radio. It's not. In my '99 service manual, on pages 8W-47-7 through 8W-47-9, it shows the power for the external amplifiers on the front door speakers being supplied from the Radio Choke Relay, which is fed from fuse 4 in the junction block on the left side of the dash board. It also shows the rest of the speaker wiring. If you can supply more information about what you are trying to do, and what was in the truck originally, I'll try to help. Obviously, if your truck didn't come with the 'premium' (infinity) audio system with the tweeters, it is going to take some work. Were you planning to add the tweeters on the pillars also? Did you get all the speakers with the radio?

my truck came with the cassette. i got an infinity with all the speakers to put in the truck. i thought that the harness would be the same in all the trucks,[thats the way they did vehicles in the 70's when i worked at the dealership,] but i was wrong. so, basically i need the diagrams to start from scratch and put this whole mess in.

fax # is 205-491-6492. no, i don't have a manual for my 99. yes, i would love to find one. but i hate to promise my first born to dodge to get one. i would like to find another source. any suggestion?

OK, I'll get right on it. I've heard that service manuals show up on ebay from time to time. You might keep an eye on the classifieds on this site. Otherwise, I guess promises are made to be broken!:D

Tom

Someone with a service manual handy give him the 1-800 number in it. You can buy the manual for $100 from them or over $200 from the dealer.

I stood there and watched 'em go... . Wonder where they went? Oh, well, you'll find that the manual is worth having anyway. You're welcome, and good luck with the wiring!
