I am hooking up my ISSPRO gauges, and want to be able to control the brightness with the dimmer for the instrument lights. Does anyone know which wire to tap at the headlight switch to be able to do this?
Thanks in advace,
Craig

What I did was go to the local automotive store and bought something called an "Add A Circuit. " It is a fuse that fits into your fuse box, then has to places to add fuses on to it, one for each circuit. Then I plugged the fuse into the Illumination fuse. If you pull off your fuse panel, it will be labeled.

Hope this helps

Kev

I used a mini fuse tap on the no. 3 fuse that is the dash lights . It will be the 5 amp Put it on the top lug of the fuse and shove it in you put your wire on that and you are in business. The lights will adjust . You must push hard it will go. Can buy at Radio Shack 5 to a pack

Quad, just hooked mine up. There is an orange wire(thanks again Illflem) right behind the ashtray, in a two wire bundle.

Thanks for all the help, guys, and really quick, too! I knew I could count on ya. I used the fuse tap idea, since the gauges are on the A-Pillar. I didn't even run to the auto part store. I just used the 5A fuse to hold the stripped part of the wire to the top lug of the slot. Seems to work great. The lights are a little dim, but I remember reading a post in the past about the ISSPRO gauges not having a bright light. I went out tonite after it got dark, and they are easy to read, even if the dash lights aren't turned all the way up. With them right at eye level and closer to my head than the dash, I think it would be distracting if they were any brighter. Appreciate all the help. #ad
