Wiring Question

I want to wire my marker lights from my camper to the truck. I am going to splice in at about halfway down my bed. Does anyone know the color code for the marker lights at that point.

On my '02 it's the black w/orange tracer.

I would recomend against splicing into the wiring under the bed of the truck, it will almost certainly be a source of future problems. If someone wants me to do this for them I use a plug in trialer wiring harnesses, the type plug into the existing wiring and modify it. If anything gives problems it can be un plugged and the truck lights will still work.

As I remember, the lighting circuit is at capacity, i. e. no mas juice. If you want to add a load like that, you need to add the towing relay that comes with the towing package. There is a major warning in the owners manual as I recall. I think you will be sorry if you do. I know because I almost did the same thing with my camper.
