wiring through fire wall

On my '04 the hole that the clutch rod would go through now has what looks like a plastic plate covering it instead of a rubber plug. What has anyone done to route wiring through it so that the hole is sealed? Does that plate pop out or do you have to drill through it? Thanks for info.

When I wired my gauges up I ran the wires threw the firewall where that huge gorup of wires ran threw. All I did was cut a little hole in the ruber plug and pushed a coat hanger threw and pulled the wires back out the other side and then taped it all back up, it was pretty easy. Hope that helps.

I just drilled holes in the clutch hole cover.
