CFTDR metting for Jan

Texas Ramboree and Campout

There will be a get together at the Tumbleweed restaurant in Appleton, WI on Sat, 1/26 at Noon. We have a room reserved under WI TDR. All are welcome from anywhere. If you are planning to go and are not on our regular email list, please post here if you can (or you can email me - but my email is acting stupid lately). Even if you can't get word to us, come anyway. We'd like to get at least a ballpark estimated count to the place ahead of time. So far, there are going to be at least 15 trucks and at least 20 people. There most likely will be more than that. Spouses are welcome, too.

Here's the directions:

From Hwy 41: Exit on Wisconsin Ave. west. Turn left on Casaloma (2nd light). Tumbleweed is on the west side of the street just west of the Fox River Mall.

See you there!

Dave

Jeff,

Yes, I'm sure we'll be doing the Iowa dyno event again. We just started working on it. We'll be talking about a date on Saturday. We'll let everyone know what's happening once a date is set.

Dave

Great job Dave, I had a blast today! I learned a wealth of knowledge and might be goin straight piped LOL ... I must say we had bunch of nice trucks, a nice guys too, keep up the good work!!! ;)

Great Time

Thanks again all who set this up. It was a great time, even with the cops!! :D The drive was pretty good on the way home. One problem I noticed on the way home, my truck seemed to develop a hard pull to the right. Must be the that right rear tire that is now a 1/4" smaller in diamater. How did that happen. Oh well, all in good fun. All the more reason to get that locked diff, so the tires wear evenly. ;) Averaged 19 mpg for the trip. 10. 5 hours on the road total. Not bad for all the fuel I left in the air in Appleton. :D

Later

Jason

I had a great time also

Thanks again Dave for setting this one up. I had a good time and enjoyed the smoke show. We're planning a Bombing session at my house probably on Feb. 9th. I'll email everyone soon with a firm date.

Jason,

I think you left more tire that fuel in the air! Thanks for the ride. I think I'm going straight  piped! Now I just wish it was easier to swap in a 5 speed.

Thanks to everyone who came, we had a blast.

Thanks to Dave for setting it up!

I start looking for slicks for the dyno...

Eric

OK you are having way to much fun to do this alone.

What's it going to take for a BIG regional gathering?

BTW, where's the snow on the ground?

-John

We don't need no stinkin' snow!

John,

We're going to have another Dyno weekend in NE Iowa - probably in May. Stay tuned! In the mean time, if you want to be in on our other meetings, email me and I'll add you to the list.
