There's a new 'Quaker Steak and Lube' in Madison (Middleton), WI that just opened up. It has been packed every time I have driven past it. The folks in PA seem to meet up at these establishments. I've been to the original one in Sharon, PA and it was a pretty cool place.

Matt, sounds like a winner, pick a date and lets set it. I wasnt much into driven a distance on Sunday after my 4 hour parking lot thru chicago :{

I left my house at 130 pm wednesday and arrived FT Wayne,Ind at 1215am Thursday... yeah I said 1215 Thursday thats normally a 5 hour drive

Wanna do the canned food drive again, the folks at the foodbank where really happy to receive the last stuff. I'll see if I can locate the one for Madison.

How about we call this one the Blackcloud Memorial roundup, the more trucks the better! Thoughts anyone?????

I'm cool with darn near wherever, whenever. I didn't suggest Quaker Steak and Lube because it was close to me... just that it's a cool place to go and it's new.



I was also in the same traffic, Dave. :-laf



I left MSN at 1:30PM Wednesday and arrived in PGH around 2:45AM Thursday. Not what I would call a fun trip. 40mph wind driven snow, slick roads, traffic - had to use 4x4 for a few hours driving through that mess.



On the way back yesterday - it was still a 12 hour ride. Got a semi-free ride on the OH Turnpike, though. (whoopdie-do!) Traffic was backed up for 5 miles on the West gate of the 'pike... they let us through for free. Stupid me stopped at the TA in Toledo... so I paid to get off and got another ticket to get back on. If I would have stopped at an 'oasis' (as IL calls them... )... I would have traveled the whole length of the 'pike for free.



Chicago was a nightmare - I recall being in traffic at around 5PM or so. What a mess. I'm taking 39 out of WI and all the way to 80 next time... just like I did on the way down. I'm never driving through Chitown again... unless I'm visiting folks in the city.

hey I'm over in northeast Iowa and I travel to Dodgeville several times a week with my CTD with farm equipment... are Iowa members welcome in the WI roundups? Madison isn't far for me when I make it to Dodgeville anyways and it seems Iowa never gets together for meets.

The 5th or 12th of December is fine with me (I think... ). We're starting to get close to the holiday season... people have all kinds of appointments/parties/etc. this time of year.



Paul: You ought to slap an Amsoil sticker somewhere inside the restaurant.



ANYONE is invited to any gathering we have - no matter where they are from. We're a really down-to-Earth group and always have a good time.
