Removing Stubborn RV Decals

new to towing

I've never seen blind faith "lemmings" as a ford guy . He'll get hosed year after year, get beat everytime at the dealer, the track, the repair shop,and then the dealer again as he mindlessly trades in for another "quality" furd product!

You shouldn't come on here and say nonsense like that. Everyone on here knows that the Dodge/Cummins is the only vehicle on earth that's worth buying. And everyone should be driving a 1 ton 4x4 pickup everywhere they go. Don't you know that brand loyal lemmings don't like to hear from people that don't walk the straight and narrow. :-laf

p. s my gf's 2004 Acura TL is probably the nicest car I've driven and didn't need aux fuel pumps, filters, regular oil samples, special high priced oil brands, thousands of dollars in fuel addidives..... You know like these "bullet proof" (as some like to claim) Cummins appear to need. And that's not even including the junk on the trucks. Worthless headlights, cheap interior... .....

:-laf

With fuel prices over $3. 10 here (versus gasoline @ $2. 67), my Outback not only gets better mileage, it rides better too... I've been back from vacation almost two weeks now and the truck hasn't moved since I unloaded the camper...

And Ford owns Cummings remember?!

That may be true when it come to a lean mean pulling machine, but when we're talking about cars, you can't beat a Toyota and Honda.

No..... I'd prefer a BMW or Audi first.

Then again, my GF has this old 89 camry wagon. 330,000 miles and some how keeps going. the water pump is finally dead enough that you can't get heat out of it for the cab. Anyone want it? $300!

Oh I would love to have an "M" BMW. Almost got an M3 but bought the dodge instead (dumb me thought it would be cheaper, I guess it would be if I would stop with the mods :-laf) Authough the new 500hp V10 M5 would be sweet, you know everyone needs a 500hp family sedan with full race suspension.

That camry might we worth replacing the water pump just to see how long the rest of it lasts.

We had a new 2006 Ridgeline and bought it because we thought it would have no problem towing our Starcraft 13RT popup. Rode like a car, got 20mpg hiway. All nice till I found out that tires sucked in mud, swapped them for Cooper Discoverer STT and man did that make a difference. Negotiating mud was now no problem but had no wheel well clearance and mileage dropped 4mpg hiway. When we towed our trailer before and after the Coopers mileage was dismal 10 and then 9mpg. . Guess where it is now since we now own a 07. 5 6. 7L 68RFE qc, lb, 4x4. LOL Now we get 12/13mpg towing a new 08 Springdale 30ftTT with the Cummins... ...

Fantastic!!!!

This was by far one of the most interesting posts I've come across at the TDR. Sure is funny what we can argue about :-{} and in the process learn.

3rd pic from top (Ned Carl's 1958 D100) I kinda like that one. As for rest well...

Im going to get beat to death but here goes. :-{}

. To me a truck is a truck if it has a solid axle front and rear. Leaf springs front and rear all the better. Independant front ends are weak.

Ill stand buy and take my beating now:{

Here goes, you can have solid axle on the front if you want. I have no use for a big truck in 4x4, so give me better ride,sterring and better control. My front end on my 3500 is plenty strong. 145468 miles and have not replaced a ball joint yet, may have to tomorrow but not yet. lol

Different strokes for different folks!

Glad to know I'm not the only one in cetral Va area:cool:

humvee's have front and rear ifs and i bet there every bit as strong as our ball joint hungry dodges. most of the nicer import cars are nice but i can see spending that kind of cash on something that cant earn its keep.

There are few vehicles as unreliable as a HUMVEE... ... if you think not - just talk to anybody who has an H1 civilian model - FREAKING NIGHTMARE and oh are the parts cheap... . And don't get me started as to the repairs the guys in uniform have to keep these pigs running... ... and Independent suspension - WHY would you want to ELIMINATE YOUR GROUND CLEARANCE with INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION??????

You guys are forgetting the fact that this is 2007... . Trucks are not supposed to be that FUGLY. . now in the 60,70,80's. . Sure that their excuses for being butt fugly :)
