First trip since repairs.

Headed to camp today after work. Have about 3000 lbs of firewood in the back.

Everything is greased and once overed. I did find a small drip of antifreeze on the garage floor. There is some wetness on the very bottom of engine, but nothing I can tell where it came from.

Hoping for no issues. If you can put a little good mojo out there for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Front of engine? Probably the water pump.

Could be a cold water leak, too. Check the tightness of your hose clamps.

Check the heater hose pipe fittings that screw into the head. they have been known to leak. There is also some pipe threaded block off plugs on the head that will seep also. Look for staining aroound the bottom of the water pump. Staining usually means coolant leak. The coolant will leave a whitish stain.

I need to get a better look. Truck ran great whole trip.

WP would surprise me. it was done 50K ago according to service records? But who knows.

Not that big of surprise... I went through two back to back in about 4000 miles. The first one was a Gates, the second was not gates and is still doing fine a year later.

Good to know. I have read they are a simple r and R. On my growing list of vehicle repairs
