Neste Renewable R99 Diesel

5 galling of used motor oil in a tank. NOT saying it can't be done, I would also think your mileage for that tank would suffer.
Nope. No smoke and no noticeable difference in mileage.

I don’t understand your need to be so negative about something you obviously have no experience with, despite respected TDR members who have experience with it telling you different.

Not negative you seem to want to counter everything I have said. I have owned two 12V trucks and have ran old oil and 2 cycle oil. Too much of each causes extra smoke. You want to diss me using one quart at a time. Makes the same savings as you dumping 5 in a tank but over longer time. I would argue my mileage would not be as effected using a smaller amount.

Anyways do what you want and I will also.

I think I understand the problem you’re having with this thread. The conversation here is about using used motor oil as FUEL in a 2nd Gen 12-Valve, not as an ADDITIVE. Using a quart per tank is an additive.

As I and others have stated, 5-gallons to a tank, no extra smoke, no drop in mileage.

Did you notice any difference when adding conventional (dino) oil versus synthetic oil? I've read that some waste oil heating systems don't do as well with synthetic oil. Granted, a waste oil heater works at a lower pressure.

I never really noticed a difference while burning synthetic. It might be due to me dumping it into my transfer tank, so it was usually a 3% to 5% mix. When running dino, I know I don't have any issues with 10%.
