I am deployed right now so this is going off what my wife is telling me. She says that when she has to turn sharp, she gets a wobbling feeling, like when the 4 wheel drive is engaged and it is not on. Wondering if I can get some possibilities so she don't get ripped off taking it to get looked at. The transmission was just replaced 2 months ago, if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would check for it being 4 wheel drive first. It is a electric shift in your truck, since you have had recent transmission work, this is where I would start.

Another sign of a frozen front u-joint is the steering wheel will oscillate back and forth in a sharp turn.
Perhaps she could have someone lift the front end off the ground and spin the front wheels. If you turn the wheels to the locks the wheels will become very hard or impossible to turn with a frozen joint. Even if they turn you may feel them bind and release. The should turn freely without any binding.
