Won't go into 2nd

Took mine into dealer today with 385 miles left on warranty because it has gotten very difficult to go into 2nd, but not all of the time. Anybody got any ideas? Hope to hear from dealer today but right now I'm nervous as all getout!

At 28000 miles, I'm having some problems getting it into second as well. Let me know how it goes.

Mine would not go at all into 2nd two weeks ago. Prior to shutting it down Tuesday night, everything worked fine. After starting it up Wednesday, absolutely NO 2nd gear available at all. No obvious indication prior to this such as excessive slipping or crunch or anything else.



transmission mechanic found a broken 2nd gear band strut. A $2 piece of metal. $120 labor and another $30 for oil, it was back on the road working fine.



Probably not what you are experiencing though.

Well, nothing will surprise me. I received my second clutch and flywheel with 5 (yes, five) miles on the odometer. I'm probably due for a new piece somewhere.....

Just got a call from the dealer and DC told them to pull the transmission and send it to them and put a new one back in mine. They say it will be ready late this afternoon. Asked, but they couldn't tell me what was wrong with it.

Picked it up last night, it's a little tight going into reverse but other than that it's smooth as silk
