Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Won't shift out of first??

Just picked up a very nice 99 Quad cab auto 2wd stock with 106k miles on it. Well... . I haven't burned my first tank of fuel yet and the transmission wont shift out of first. The fluid is right on the mark and light pink in color. The truck has been well maintained and hasn't towed much. Just a bumper hitch. I hope it is something simple. Tell me some good news guys. I could use it. Thanks for any info.

I don't know if its the same problem i'm having but I've found by pushing the go pedal all the way down and releasing it real quick the transmission shifts normal again? p. s. mine only does this once in a while.
