Archived Won't Shut Off

I am out of town and the wife said my truck wont shut off. I told here over the phone to put it in gear to kill it , with the key removed the warning lights still on . I installed an Edge box over the summer and did not have this problem before , I'm at a loss and any help would be welcomed. Thank You. 2001 24v 3/4 ton 4x4 5 speed

Well the best thing is, you can kill it with the manual trans... .

It sounds like the fuel control solenoid has failed. Without fuel control/starvation the mighty Cummins will not STOP... .

Oh boy... Umm... I think the solonoid he is talking about is on the 12v engines. . not the 24v like yours.



It sounds like something is backfeeding to the run circut for the ignition switch. Does the Edge have the option for a cool down timer?

Yes, it does have a cool down timer. I have not used the timer yet or tried to turn it on. I wonder if Edge would have a solution or a recall ?

I would give Edge a call. It sounds to me like the cool down timer feature is stuck on.
