Wont start...ecm?,smarty?...

Hi,my truck would not shift out of first gear,i saw the check engine light was on,i tried to read,then clear two code,(1-low voltage 2-map sensor)i then tried to clear them when the truck was running,it did not work. i pulled over,shut the truck off,tried to clear them again,the smarty said"error:comm time out". the truck will power up,but will not power up the air-dog(doesnt prime the motor). i bypassed the relay,so i jumped the red & yellow wires and the motor came on. so now im stuck,... sorry so long,i hope i wrote the sittuation clearly-----la

ECM codes can not be cleared while the engine is running.
