IF YOU HAVE THE CENTRY KEY, IT WILL BE GREY IN COLOR, but the centry key will not keep the starter from operating as someone mentioned, engine will not run long.

My starter is good and my truck runs for more than two minutes at a time :) ! There for the security system is good and the starter. However, the ignition does not work like it's suppose to. I ran a jump wire to the brown wire that goes to the starter and it cranks. I mentioned earlier that my ignition and clutch switch work and the relay for the starter clicks. I'm stomped on this delima!! Please help, I'm so overwhelmed on this one  . Thanks again in advance!

P. S. Good news is that I made progress :)

OK! I got it running! The problem was with the relay, not the relay being bad but the wires under the fuse box. If you look at rbattelle's diagram of the fuse box (the way it sits on here), I hooked a bridge wire from the bottom prong to the right prong and it works like a champ!

My next plan of action is to figure out why my relay isn't engaging like it's suppose to, perhaps burnt wires under the box I'm thinking.

With that said, we know that we can start or test the starter by energizing the the small brown wire that runs to the starter solenoid. Those who have manual transmissions must use extra precaution!

Thanks everyone for your inputs.

My 06 6 speed did the same thing, loosen the ground wires on the fender and retighten, this should help. the clicking noise is the relay, it will not send power to the starter unless it can grounded.
