well I just tried my first modification, slid the plate and afc housing forward and I can tell a big difference already, even getting some decent black smoke! and so it begins... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Might I make a suggestion

Get some gauges next.

I had no idea the truck would run the EGTs high with just he stock plate slid forward, boy was I wrong. I've pegged mine at 1600º several times. This was at WOT in 4th and 5th. Suprised the heck out of me, racing a guy after work and looked down and . Back out!!

This is with the K&N RE-0880 filter and a straight exhaust.



Just letting you know that it will run that hot with the stock equipment.

ON the other hand, I did pull a 283 RWHP on a dyno back in January.
