I just got my blue chip pump cover installed. Thats a cool little idea. I was trying to be discreet so I almost completly stripped one of those tamper proof screws( a blind man could see it). Darn intake plenum.

So I run around in mode 3 for a bit to see if my injection pump makes it the obligatory 30 min failure period. Shes good to go. So I punched her up to 5x5 and holy cow I didnt know the pyro needle could move that fast. I dont even want to know what kind of temps Im running. It pegs at 1500. When I swap out my exhaust manifold I will get a new pyro that reads a bit higher. I see a B-1 in my future. Twins are out due to the injection pump repair bill.

Edge sent me the wrong torques bit , its too big so I got excited and used one of my other bits well it was a pinch too small and I ended up stripping one of my bolts then I got ticked and just pierced the wire  hope I dont regret it.

Went out and tried the unit out, I can get a ton of smoke but it dont seam to get any quicker from being off vs. step 5, I am wondering if my pierce job was not good enough:confused: ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... Kevin

:D

Ya might wanna rethink that higher-reading EGT guage bit - if yer running more than 1500 degrees consistently, there's lots more important things ya should be spending yer money on to keep those temps UNDER 1500!:p ;) :D

Whitmore that sounds like me. I thought I was the only one that used the wrong tool for the job. I couldnt find a 3/8s 13mm socket yesterday. So there I am with a little 4" 1/4"drive with a 16" breaker bar. My older brother shows up bout that time and says that had to be the first time he'd ever seen someone doing somin that lamebrained. If Id had a little patience I shoulda took the intake plenum off but that was 15 more mins between me and :D :D :D . So what was I to do. I never seen so much smoke in my life.

I also see a new transmission in my very near future. It sure dont like all those ponies. Its a tired old transmission with 150k on it. Im suprised with my power level that it has lasted this long. I ran 275s with the comp on 5x5 for 15k. I keep the rpms up best I can. Too low and the transmission shudders pretty good. Enough to bounce you up and down in your seat. This is without the tc in lockup.

I didn't have to take the intake off. I loosened up the intercooler hose that connects to the intake and was able to move the throttle control box (what ever the proper name is) to get to the pump cover. I ended up using one of the studs on the intake heater to provide a ground.
