Glad you like your stove. Just services my 24 year old McCulloch Mac 10-10 Automatic. Lots of trees never in the shop.

Cool ! Bob your into EVERYTHING !

I worked with the aeromatic cedar for a while ,,,, good busness you can save all chips and shavings bag it and sell it also . No WASTE !

Dont have the shop anymore but some day I would like to get back into it .

People eat up little crafts and stuff around here.

Heat with firewood here in Moran. Pacific Energy Stove works very good. Electric baseboard for went I go away for the holidays or playing.

Plus, my wife heats with wood in Bozeman. Old Blaze King stove that really should be swapped out for a Pacific Energy. Propane furnace for when we go away or are playing.

There are some positive benefits to all the beetle kill. :-laf

Jonsered!!! Ahhh. Stihl is the way to go!!! I gotta a 044 in 18" and 24" and a new Pro 260 in 18", plus an old Husky 40 in 15".

I got 14 cord out back split and (most of it stacked). My neighbor and I cut the logs and split all winter long. Somthing to do during the winter.

Plus I usually sell a few cords in the fall which pays for the logs.

If I have any cash left when we are finished with the house remodel, I'm thinking about one of these. www.centralboiler.com

Those things are cool. In town here in Northwood, there is a Massie Fergison dealership that sells those in all sizes.

Up in snowmobile country in northern NH and Vermont a lot of Inn's use those.

You just fill them up with a bunch of 3' or 4' logs and they burn for 24 hours and provide all the heat in the house you need via underground pipes and forced hot water.

Yea, I'm almost positive that I will have one within the year. I've just run out of time for this season I'm afraid. They are a little on the expensive side, but with the amount of oil I use in this old farm house, it will pay for itself rather quickly.

DM, I will buy you a brand new saw,pay all your expenses, and give ya all the wood you want if you come to Iowa and cut me some wood for winter (about 5 cords). I have about 1000 acres of timber you can cut in. I HATE cutting firewood! Chris

we heat almost entirely with wood. we have a Hotblast (US Stove Company) all tied into the duct work and runs off a thermostat. i keep about about a months worth of wood in the basement at a time. i burn about 3-4 cords a year depending on the winter.

we have propane backup but it hardly ever runs. I only use 400 gallons a year at best.

they say wood heats you more than once... 1 cutting, 2 splitting, 3 stacking, 4 burning it.

My parents are supplementing their propane heat with wood this year... got about 12 cords cut, split, and stacked. They have some little stove they bought from NorthernTool... it has a higher BTU rating than their propane furnace!! They had a wood furnace about 12 years ago... now they wish they hadn't switched to propane.

Wood is a "warmer" heat anyway... IMO anyway. They just filled their propane tank... $2. 39 a gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I run an 20 year old SuperSplit log splitter. The thing always starts and all you have to do is oil the bar and the motor. No more swinging a maul for me ... F---that.

But I definitely like to give trees a 6" trim ... . 6" from the ground :-laf

I still say that Stihl has the best saws out there :p
