Looking for an orbiltal finishing sander that does not suck the dust into the motor and blow it all over the shop. Had them in the high school shop. They also did such a good job that I want one. If you know any good links or a place that may have them. Could ya please list them.

Thanks Jeff H.

Palm Sander

I like the DeWalt 1/4 sheet palm sander. Just checked mine and it would appear that the dust has not been going through the motor. It has a dust collector bag and collects the dust through the sanding pad. Sander comes with a plastic jig to perforate the sandpaper after it is mounted on the pad. If dust is a problem for you, look into a Fein brand shop vac, a bit expensive but they are very good. The model that I use in my shop has a self starting feature that allows the vac to be started automaticly with other power tools. A few other good features, the motor is a bypass type, the cooling air does not go through the vac bag, very quiet, very strong suction, and has a cloth filter bag, as well as an optional hepa filter.
