Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Wooshing air sound

I have a friend that has a CA 1996 2500 with the Banks Power Pack. He had a PacBrake, 370injectors, GSK kit and AFC springs installed and now has an air whooshing sound that starts about 2200 rpm. It sounds like the fan is kicking in or when you have a window part way down, but not far enough to stop the noise. Has anyone out there had a problem like this and what was the cure? All the hoses are OK and he is getting good Boost pressures.

Two things come to mind....probably both wrong

Is he running the AC a lot now?



How good are his boost pressures? Could the gasket under the grid heater be blown out on the engine side (where it is dificult to see)?

Could also be a leak in the intercooler
