Saw George W. on the news tonight in blue jeans, flannel shirt, and a Carhartt jacket (had a bit of a Texas strut goin' too). That's my kind of President! A man that can work for a living.
He's the first President that I can remember that looked at home in those clothes. I liked Reagan, and he wore jeans at his ranch, but he looked too Hollywood (O. K. maybe he had a little John Wayne in him when he was riding his horse). But George W. looked like he'd been pitchin' bales just before the interview. And funny thing is, when he talks, I feel like I can believe what he's saying - like it comes from his heart, not from some big city speech writer.
Just my thoughts.
