Case tractor fuel delivery problem. Long.

6-Liter startup

A friend at work has a satellite dish and gets alot of unusual TV channels that us cable people don't get and one channel he is particularly fond of is RFD TV. This chanel airs a program called Tractor Fever and he has asked if I have ever heard of a tractor called Big Ben or Big Joe or something like that out in the farmland of Montana. This leviathon suppossedly lives out there and is the biggest farm tractor in the world. My question is this, can someone show me what this is or a link to some info on it? I'm curious as heck. Illflem, if anyone would know I told my buddy you would!:--)

I believe you are looking for a "Big Bud". If I remember they were about 500 PTO HP. I remember a website devoted to them, but the address eludes me. Might try a search at www.agriculture.com the website of Successful Farming Magazine.

One of the local farmers bought a small Big Bud at the end of a late 70's Kansas City Farm Show. It instantly became legendary among the local coffee shop farmers. Wasn't powerful enough to pull the guy through the farm crisis, haven't seen it around for a few years.

Not the biggest but John Deere has a 9510 track type tractor that makes 425 hp and it only runs a 1/4 mil in price. A track type like this weighted properly would be a hoss in the field with allot less soil compaction... shame you can't put a Blixxton 2 Power Enhancer

that Piers sells on it that would make it 545hp

Hum..... turn up the pump, add another charger, a better air to air cooler..... maybe a... ..... what am I thinking:p

Got to get a Cat MT865. They got the C16 in them running 500 horse at rated rpm(1800 i think) and a 50 horse bulge when you start pullin her down. I work on these, and have ridden in a few out working, man talk about a horse!!!

Check out www.bigequipment.com, this ie the site of the original mfg. of Big Buds. Big Bud had orders for 100 tractors, bought all the components and materials started building them, went broke because Twin-Disc couldn't supply the transmissions. No other transmission would work in the tractor. Twin Disc is a transmission and drop box all in one unit.

WOW!

Almost looks like something that LeTourneau would build... .

LeTourneau used a lot of Detroit 2-strokes in their equipment... . some of their earth movers had a total of 4500hp.
