First of all, it is pronounced "Chowdah". Second, a real fan doesn't eat it. We eat undercooked Fenway Franks and drink overpriced, watered down Sam Adams.



What are tickets going for out in the hinterlands? A coworker has season tix and was thinking of selling his game 2 seats for $5k each. He went to the game instead.

Dugout seats were going for $10,000 each. Bleachers $1500.



Ridiculous.



I agree that it would be nice to see the Rockies make a game of it. A sweep would be anticlimactic. Nice, but boring. :-laf

Some paid 500 to 1500 for Rockpile tickets, some of the prime spots are going heavy for 2000 to 10,000. It is ridiculis... . I have the best seat, my easy chair, at home...

Yea, it is showing in the game also. I heard that Boston paid 51 mill for one player? The whole Rockies team was 54mill... . I guess unless a miracle comes along, a sweep by Boston is in the cards, no more play in Boston.

How about 51 million just to talk to the player. Then another 50 or so million to have him play.



The owner just bought a "house" for $16 million and plans to tear it down and build a little something nice. The team is obviously just play money for him.

Another world....

It is another world, to have that much money... A good friend of mine hauls fifthwheels for a outfit here in Colorado. He hauled one out to LA, and a guy came up to him wanting him to drive his million dollar new RV to Florida. My friend gave him a ridiculus price to do it because he wanted to go home. The guy said sure and handed him another three grand for a bonus! I mean just peeled ten grand out of his wallet and said "See you in Florida in a week!" . Plus the guy bought him airline tickets back to LA, bought all fuel and grocerys! This RV was awesome, twin dishes, hot tub, car storage, fold out big screen and entertainment center in and OUT, just a toy for this guy. . It is another world...



Hey, where is Chartley? I lived in N. Abington when I was a kid, my Mom was raised in Russell Mass, also lived in RI for a short time. Long time ago. .

Good gravy! Russell??? That is a world away from here. I worked for a while in Northampton, my wife worked in Russell, and we have lived various places around the state.



Chartley is actually a part of Norton. I use it because, really, who wants to be from Norton? SE Mass, right around the corner from Gillette where the Pats just beat the 'skins what, 52 to 7?? It was supposed to be a good game... . :-laf



I grew up in Duxbury and we played Abington in most sports. Beat them too. Neither you or I could afford a house in either of those two towns now.

My Dad was stationed at South Weymoth (sp) back then. You guys don't think of distance the way we do, for us 100 miles of nothing is around the corner. . I met a guy from Conn last year when the wife and I were on our touring bike, he had just driven a 150 mile stretch out on Hwy 50 with nothing on it, he was actually scared! He was telling us that he would never take that route again! I didn't have the heart to tell him he had another 90 miles to the next stop... Me I love the nothing, there is all kinds of stuff to see, if you know what you are looking for. .



Well, the game is winding down 4-3 Boston, looks like you guys can celebrate pretty quick. .

They have been an exciting team to watch this September into October and pulled off a great upset of San Diego, Phillies, and Diamondbacks.



This is going to change the way the Colorado Rockies are viewed in Baseball overall and this will help the club progress in the next few years.



My hope for all the best in Denver!

Well, after game 1, I was hoping the Rockies would make a series of it. I guess the layoff , combined with the Red Sox playing awesome ball, was too much.



Hats off to the Red Sox. World Champions!



Here's hoping the Rockies will be back next year.



One month ago today, the Rockies were in the play in game against the Padres. Who could've imagined a few days before that, the Rockies would make into the World Series!
