World Trade Centers and Pentagon attacked

Here in Toronto everything has closed early this afternoon. Borders are all but closed, airport is taking landings only and the hospitals are taking emergencies only. The mayor has asked that downtown area be evacuated. Latest news on the radio is that our airforce has intercepted one of the "missing" aircraft over the Yukon. Lets all hope that it will land safely. Will update you if I here more. All of the US bound international flights have been re-directed here, the mayor has been asking us to take displaced passengers into our homes, the hotels are full.

If anyone has family stuck at the airport here in Toronto, please email me, most likely I can help them.

Swamp Rat, I agree with you on the response. The news media keeps saying terrorist attack, BS, it's an act of war!



Find em and terminate them with any means available.



My thoughts go out to all those hurt or killed and the families of those people. This will be a real tough time to get through.

I gave blood a couple of hours ago and the pain in my arm can't compare to the pain relatives are going through. If they (RedCross) would've let me I'd given 2 pints!

one of my co-worker's husband is a pilot for AA. the boston to LAX flight is his normal flight. he's in calif. not his day to fly. or die

another co-worker's daughter's best friend was on the 88th floor. they evac'd to 79. she said I'm outta here and left. she's safe!! i'm an operating room nurse up here in central Ct. i'm on call tonight in case we get patients from this mess. they're already being recieved as far up as new haven, ct.



maybe the tears will come later. right now there are NO words to describe my rage. they're now talking hundreds of police, fire and EMS workers missing. may GOD have mercy on them!!

Another Option

I think this country should hire a contractor, a fellow named Carlos sounds good, and pay him a couple of million to take care of Bin Laden with a nice single shot. Then after we get our contractor out we go back with enough firepower to wipe out all the scum that make his existence possible.



I think this would really carry a strong message to all the low down terrorists around the world.



God bless all those affected by this terrible act. Come to think of it, that is all of us. A special prayer for those who lost loved ones.

I visited the American Embassy this afternoon with flowers in honour of

the casualties of war waged upon the United States. For security

reason, I was not admitted into the Embassy, of course, but I were

guided to put down the flowers at the fence encircling the Royal Castle

across the street. There were several similar memorials there already.

Two American Airlines hijacked planes have struck and collapsed the World Trade Center. One a Boeing 767 from Boston with 90 crew and passengers and the other from Washington Dulles Airport with 60 passengers. Thousands upon thousands are dead.



In Washington, D. C. , the Pentagon has been hit. Another plane has crashed south of Pittsburgh. The nation is in lockdown. More

could be just ahead.



WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

This statement of solidarity says three things:



--Calls on the President and Congress to make a formal declaration of war against any terrorist groups or nations associated with this attack.



--Calls on Congress to immediately cease funding of any groups or nations responsible for terrorism or or house, train or support terrorism. This includes an immediate suspension of more than $100 million in direct aid to the PLO mandated by the Wye Accords and the $75 million in indirect aid to the PLO.



--Calls on the President to declare a National Day of Fasting and Prayer for this nation and the victims.

My brother just got out of the city before the towers were hit.

I'm still in disbelief.

My other brother works in the DC area for the DoD.

I've been trying him on the phone all day. Lines are busy.

When I arrived at work tonight, I went to the top floor to see if I was able to see the city.

I could.

What I thought were clouds just off the coast all day was the smoke from the towers.

I'm going to pray for the familys that are victim of this horrible deed, and the people in power that must make the decisions to avenge our citizens.

As a nation we need to mourn our losses, then roll up our sleevs, and settle the score. I hope were able to do this in a swift and just fashion.



I have family members in the medical field. All the hospitals from the city,down to Manahawkin are preparing for casulities.

PS Seeing the Palistenians dancing in the street, (as possibly 50K Americans are dead or wounded) on TV made me sick!!! I would have felt a little better if there was a flash, then they were vaporised, as I watched.



I always thought if this ever happened, it would be biological warfare???

I had said in the chatroom that the biggest target we had around here was a Target superstore. Geez I forgot about the HUGE Gas and Jetfuel tank farm with about 500 multi-zillion gallon tanks about a mile from the airport



The National Guard and others have that place surrounded like Fort Knox. It's been rumored that Anti-Aircraft weapons are en route to support the Guard. We're close enough that if anything should happen overnight I won't have to worry about being late for work tomorrow.
