I read somewhere that it was a custom gun built on the Thompson Center platform for show only. The guy begged the builder to let him shoot it. The caliber was reputed to be . 600 Nitro Express. A bad day in a rifle could be downright dangerous in a handgun!

I have a ruger 454 casull and it has almost gotten the best of me like that a time or 2. I have never lost it that bad or dropped it yet but close.

I always try to stay away from "need". Someone will invariably say "Why do you NEED that much power: about my CTD. I may not need it, but I want it! :-laf

I have a Taurus Raging Bull (454 Casull) and it hardly kicks at all. I have a ported barrel though.
