fast = true

quick = true

impressive, not really

i say build a pulling truck and go show Scheid, Mitchell and Haisley how to build horsepower.

this is almost like the 1000+hp chevy, with the 3 disc mitchell clutch.

Honestly fellas, go to the ADM site and read his posts from last year. When they weren't spewing oil and coolant on the track, they were jumping time(set at 16 or something,hi-po ya know) or filling the cab with smoke.

As far as I'm concerned, all his actions up to this point have set Diesels back about 10 years.

A mess of guys on this site have done magazine covers, no biggy there.

And several more will be on TV in October.

I just can't wait until Keith gets Edges truck dialed in and lays the smack right across that mouth!!! Oo.

LMFAO

You tell him Sleddy. :-laf

If you don’t like what I’m doing, come out and do it better

I think the guys from Edge and Diesel Dynamics will take care of that.

Here is an idea for you. . take the motor out of your truck and sell it. Call Piers/Enterprise/Hasiley/Schieds and have them build you a big bad motor. They have done all the work you are going to do your self.

Oh and don't put too much faith in the time and weight to HP calculators. My 7600 lb truck ran a 13. 97 and 97. 5 and the calculator says my truck has 550 hp. I think that is about 100 hp high.

Good luck with your truck and you one man mission in the NHRA. Me I am going to try and get my local track to host a DHRA event.

TDK,

I would wash the Edge truck, and buy Keith a drink, to see that!

I didn't think it was possible, but we have found someone more annoying and full of crap than our other favorite Texan who can't post on here anymore. ! ;)

First off we are in no way a supporter of Dr. Performance or a Dr. fan at all ,but this is no longer the truck that I saw run in Vegas last year that had the oil problems. Comp461 I think one problem that you are gonna run into on this website is that most guys don't like Dr. Performance and you are gonna get some sceptical people over your claims. But no matter what anyone says your #'s are impressive. 9. 21 is 9. 21 no matter who builds your stuff.

I find it funny that people will cheer on garmons plastic truck that runs 10's, and yet Comp runs about 1 second faster and gets no props. That sucks in my opinion.

Maybe your in your face attitude has rubbed people the wrong way, but at the end of the day your #'s are still the best. Speaking from a drag racer's point of view a race car running in the high 8's isn't as impressive as a truck running low 9's .

One thing that I would suggest you could do Comp is go to a diesel race and chase them down on their own turf, they will have to acknlowledge you then. However I would make sure Keith and Co. aren't gonna be there because that truck will be flat out scary fast when it's finished. :D I can't wait to see the Edge vs. Dr. P shoot-out in the future.

Jeff Garmon never gets on the TDR and brags about his accomplishments. I don't understand how you can even compare the two. Comp461 is a joke. I don't have any respect for arrogant and conceited people. Does this guy even own the truck??? NO! Did he fund any of it??? NO! Jeff has built the truck out of his pocket, and the truck makes real hp w/o drugs. I personally cheer Garmon on b/c he has helped me out tremendously in the past w/ my truck. He has an extremely loyal customer for very good reasons. I am convinced his performance shop is one of the best diesel shops in the nation. Maybe he could help you w/ a Prostreet truck.

Greg - My calculator takes 148mph @ 2928 pounds and gets 644. 5 hp. I think everyone knows there is more power there to be had when it's needed.

I think what bothers me is to hear how many think it is so easy to go fast. Isn't there much more to it than HP? Don't you have to have gearing and chassis somewhere in there? I mean it doesn't matter how much power you have if you cannot apply it to the asphalt you will not go fast. With all of the big HP trucks that have been out this year, where are all if the 10 second trucks? You don't see them because it takes more than HP to get that street truck into the 10's.

And 800hp is far from being common. I've yet to see one and I dyno a boat load of trucks. I'm not saying they aren't out there, I'm saying right now they are owned by a select few.

OK guys here's my take on this. With a Full tube Chassis, it's easy to set suspension. ESPECIALLY when he's running tires as wide as he says. (that's back there someplace, 8inches between the tires?) SBentz is running 1/3 the size of those tires. The dragster is only slightly lighter, but MUCH less HP by your calculation. As I recall at Muncie he said they are at only around 500 HP. I dont' know what Fletcher is running, but 10's out of a street truck! I have had alot of respect for anyone trying to go fast in the Diesel world, till tonite. Respect is manditory at the track, as well as in life. The TDR is no different. To walk in the door talking big and bad, sorry. How about Maddogs truck and once he gets it holding together, he'll be in the low 10's if not 9's as it sits.

To try and go against a sanctioning body that is HELPING Diesel motorsports is foolish. There is a reason these Great peole have started this orginization is to benifit All of us. To undermine that is foolish. Why haven't you even checked into the DHRA. Don't tell us that you didn't know it was around and that you talked to NHRA. If you did, they know full well that the DHRA is out there and they would have sent you to those gentlemen.

As you may have noticed... or maybe not... . There are MANY intelligent people on this forum. I don't suggest trying to outsmart them. You'll loose.

Josh

PS, He said he is running a 10 plate... ... anyone see a problem with this?

I find it hard to believe that whoever he talks to at the NHRA DIDN'T tell him to contact Eric McBride. :confused:

Cheney won't run next time, so maybe I'll run against Hillary. ;)

A Diesel in every driveway..... Oo.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what is fast, quick, and impressive. Why the need to attack someone's grammar and spelling?

This thread has come to an end for now... ... .....
