it gets 9. 9 miles to the gallon hand calc. every tank no matter what, had all the flashes, check this check that blah blah... .

would an h&s kit help enough to change my mind? im truly disgusted with this truck #@$%!

I feel for you buddy. I got struck by the God of dumb and traded a good 2002 3500 on a new 2008 3500 and am in the same boat. Was told 16 mpg at the dealer and now they're saying you have to get miles on them for improvement. Told them I can't afford to go anywhere with $3. 50 diesel so how am I to get miles on it. It's very nice and quiet and comfortable but at 10 mpg I have to admire it in the back yard.

Don't fall for the story that they will improve with more miles. Have 20,000 miles, new turbo and all the flashes. Fuel mileage is going down as fast as the price of diesel is going up.

My brand new 07. 5 6. 7 got 16mpg combined city-highway hand calculated. It now has 357 miles on the odometer. Not sure what's going on, but don't think I'll be taking it in for any flashes unless I have a problem.



Not sure what's going on with your trucks--just telling you what mine is doing.



I have only the quad cab SLT with a 6-speed stick.

RVan how many miles on your 6. 7? If they are anything like the 5. 9 you're NOT going to see an improvement in mileage until you get 30 or 40K on them, Even then they may not equal the 5. 9 in fuel mileage, and that does suck with the price of diesel. I don't think I'll be trading in anytime soon, nor my Father-in-Law who is looking for a used 04-06 maybe to replace his 96.

Something ain't right... ... I managed a little over 12. 5 mpg hauling this 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 from KY to Port Huron, MI on my 1850 lb 2007 GatorMade 16+2 car hauler. I got 14. 9 or so dragging the empty trailer back..... all hand calculated.

I don't know about the 6. 7's, but my new '07 5. 9 sucks in the mileage department. It's down 3mpg on average from my '03 with a 2" lift and 35" tires! And my '07 is stock. When it comes time to buy a Megacab for the soon-to-be wife, I'll happily buy a 6. 7.



It seems there are a few fuel hog 6. 7's out there, but by and large the reports I'm reading on various forums are comparable to my 5. 9...

12. 9... . hoping H&S will send me info on the pipe such as where to send the money and when it will be shipped. my 04 duramax ran like a scalded dog and got 18. 5 in town . My other 2 cummins 5. 9 are straight piped and get about the same. Getting really dissappointed quickly.

That's not the worst mileage in the world. Not even in the Dodge Diesel world. You are silly. Now, mind you, that's very poor mileage, I've seen trucks that average 6's...

I am glad to see their is more that are getting the same rotten millage as mine! I keep throwing the traction control code and 4 times back and still does it! It is the best towing stock truck I have owned. the exhaust brake and 6 spd auto are perfect! just wished the milage was better! My 05 was at 614hp the way I drove it around and it would get 15-18 around town with my fat foot planted almost all the time! This thing driving it like I have an egg under my foot will not get better than 10-11 around town! maybe I will have to talk to the lawyer about this thing!

I get 10-12 around town and as much as 16-18 on the hwy ans 9-11 towing 8-9k I have about the worst fuel sucking model of them all read my info

Been there done that! It really takes a dump then down to around 8-9!!#@$%!

It seems my truck gets better mpg at 75 to 80 rather than 65 to 70. Any one else notice this trend?

I'l tell ya that it gets better mileage at 55-60 MPH than 70 MPH. 'Round here it's tough to get an 80 MPH run in without getting stopped.



I'm still running between 15-16 MPG unloaded. I've seen as low as 13. 5 and as high as 17. 1. Those two were probably from incomplete fills on a tank.



I'm sort of worried about having them do the G-30 flash. 3500 miles and no codes and at least reasonable mileage.

Don't agree with that "Blue trucks get better mileage" Mine sucks 08' 3500 6spd. I get about 8. 25 pulling the trailer, down from 9. 5 with the 06 and that is down from the 03 which got 10 and the 02 got 10. 5. It is going down the tube, and I am getting very disturbed!!!!!!!!
